Arthur Charles Wearing 3/22/1938-7/25/2006

Just wanted to let everyone know that Scott's dad passed away on July 25th. He died at home early evening and it has yet to be determined what was the cause. The family is getting together on Sunday for a memorial at his house. Scott's brother and his family are coming out today and his sister, brother-in-law and mother are coming out late Friday. Brianna is flying in on Saturday morning. Scott's Aunt and cousins are also coming out some time this weekend for the memorial. Art will be missed by all.

Utah

This is the new house (hopfully). We close on July 21st as long as there is no problems with funding! Our move date is the weekend of Aug 11th. Jessy starts her new school on Aug 24th. We are all excited and nervous about the new life.
The drive is going to be intresting!! 2 dogs, 2 kids, 1 cat, a moving truck and a van. Anyone want to join in on the fun? I will trade places! I will post more pictures as we get them.

Darcy's 30th Birthday

Yes, I am officially old!! (as my daughter keeps reminding me!) My mom came out for my birthday and got a cheese cake and had the kids give me presents the night of my birthday. Scott and I were not going to cheat on our diet but you can see how well that turned out!

The Wearing Christmas 2005

We had 4 Christmases this year. The above picture is the Christmas at our house Christmas morning. Jessy and Kody had a lot of fun opening their presents from Santa and Mom and Dad. We had to talk Kody into opening the presents. He really just had no interest in it at first. He warmed up to it after a little while. Christmas morning was quite since it was just the 2 kids this year. We went up to Scott's dad's house later that day for Christmas dinner. The next day my dad came over and he played tennis with Jessy
while Kody played with Mom and Dad at the park.
New Year's weekend we drove out to California to have Christmas with my family. It was really nice to spend time this Steve, Lisa, Jim and Tammy because we don't see them very often. We really missed having Brianna but I guess we can't have everything. We have a delicious "Christmas Dinner" at my mom's. She made a Tofukey that Jessy ate and thought it was good. She is my budding vegetarian. It rained the day we had Christmas and it was really cold! Mom's heater went out the following day so we were lucky we had the dinner on the day we did!.
Kody did real well the entire trip. He did not have any problems on the drive out (because he slept the entire time ;) and had no problems sleeping at Mattie's house. The trip home was a different story but....The next morning we had breakfast together. Mom made her famous egg dish and we had cresonts and fruit. Jim and Tammy came over for that and Grandpa came up also. Over all the 4 Chritmases were a blast! A great big THANK YOU to every one that we saw or thought of us this Christmas season. I know that you all were on our minds also.

Jessy's Tennis

For the last 2 months Jessy has been having tennis lessons once a week for an hour. She loves it!!! She keeps talking about all the trophies she is going to win when she gets good. I am just happy that she found something she enjoys so much. These pictures are from her 1st "match" in Oct. I was unable to go because I was working but Scott said that she did really well. She was happy with how she played also.

Halloween 2005

The kids had a blast. Kody knew what to say before the candy and after! I didn't have to tell him to say "Thank you", it was great.
Kody was Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story- his favorite movie and charater!!! Jessy was an Army girl. I love her creativeness with this costume. Her shirt says "ON A MISSION" then she added "...FOR CANDY!"

Cruise 2005

Here are a few pics from our trip. We had a great time!!!! Thank you James, Jess, Jill, Jake, Karen and Joe!!

Oct 10, 2005

This is day 1. We all dressed in pirate garb for the boarding. Most everyone waiting in line with us thought it was fun.

Oct 11, 2005; day 2. Yes, even on a boat you can find birds. This guy was really tired by this point. He didn't fly for a while, just hopped around the deck happy to have a rest.

This is our first formal dinner on Day 2. From left we have Joe, Jill, Scott, Me, James, Jessica, Jake, and Karen. It was really nice to get dressed up and go to dinner. Scott and I enjoyed it so much that we might try to do it in "real life". We had 2 formal nights, 3 informal (still dress up but not tux/suits for the men) and 2 casual nights. The food was great! I tried snails for the first time and like them but that most surprise most.

Oct 13, 2005; Day 4 put us in Puerto Vallarta. We got off the boat a little late and really had no idea what we wanted to do. James bartered with a guy and got us a dune buggy trip cheap. We drove all over the city just to get to a sandy wash with lots of water. We were all muddy by the end of the trip. Scott and I had to throw away our clothes. My purse was ruined and I lost my hat but it was worth every moment of it. This is a picture of Scott before we left and one of him on our way back. The difference is a lot of mud!! Just look at the difference in his shirt color!!

Oct 14, 2005;Day 5. We went to a famous bar in Mazatlan called (as you can read) Senor Frog's. It wasn't jumping while we were there but we had some drinks, ate lunch and had some balloon hats made. How you get around in these cool golf cart things that the cab driver normally has heavy metal blaring.

Oct 15, 2005; Day 6 was by far my favorite! We went to Cabo San Lucas and would have stayed forever! All we did was sit on the beach, drink margaritas, play in the water and relax!!! Scott, Jake and I went snorkeling, we all went on the jet skis, and Jess went parasailing. She got some great pictures from way up there but I don't have a copy yet. The water was clear, warm, and very salty. You could see tons of fish everywhere. I got to touch one because he wasn't paying attention while I was snorkeling.

That night we had our second formal. Jessica had given me a dress when we first got on the ship that I just love.

Here is the kids at their game. Jess and James love the casino and got Scott hooked as well but as you can see on everyone's faces, they really have fun at the game. We did other things on the ship but mostly sat and talked, ate, drank, and played Craps. Jess and I had a lot of fun together and got to know eachother better which was great since we are practically going to be sisters!

Over all we had a great time and can't wait to do it again!! (Once we finish paying this one off!) Hope I didn't bore everyone but wanted to make sure you got a good over view of our wonderful week!

New Friend to the Wearing Garden

I researched this catapillar and found that it is a Gulf Fritillary. Here is a link to show you the adult form. This isn't the best picture but the focus on my camera is horrible for small, close items. http://www.sasionline.org/fritillary/fritillary.html

JESSY'S 11TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

This is her loving on her new PS2 that her dad bought her. I say her dad because I didn't come up with the idea nor purchuse the thing. He hates video games so it made the idea that much better. She never would have asked for the system nor think he would buy it. It went over really well. The party was a hit also. We had a "dance" in the living room and a pinata in the back yard, cake, ice cream, pizza; the whole works. I think Jessy enjoyed it, I know Kody did and Scott and I servived just fine. All I can say is I am glad it is over for another year!!!
